looks like breaking up online is becoming pretty big... checkout this section of online breakup e-cards. I think that it is actually kinda sad how impersonal our society is becoming through the use of the internet.

Ouch, I think email would be one of the harshest ways just because it's the least communicative way you can take. I never have been broken up with online, but actually broke up with someone over aol. It was just one of those short-term fling things though. I don't think any real relationship should be ended via instanting messaging.

What a bitch thing for her to do! I mean I could see guys being wusses about breaking up (hell, it's happened to me) but you'd think that this girl would have some guts...

I think internet break up is one of the worst ways to break up with someone. First, its embarassing, because it shows that they don't really like you enough to even say it face to face. Also, it ruins any chance of keeping a relationship as freinds, which is always uncomfertable because its too akward to talk to them anymore after that.

I don't have a problem with someone breaking up with me online. At least I wouldn't have to worry about my facial expressions and how to react with grace.

Break-ups are awkward situations and it's often hard to think of what to do in response. I mean, the only thing you can really do is say "Oh. Ok" and then leave.

I would rather be in the comfort of my own home and immediately be able to put in a favourite DVD and relax my sorrows away, instead of having to meander home feeling embarrassed.

Re: Internet Break-Up

I've seen plenty of my friends breaking up over the Internet. They say it is easier that way. I think it is lame. If you have been with the guy/girl for some time, the least you could do is say a decent good bye.

No kidding, i can't imagine doing that to someone.

IMO it shows not only a lack of class, but a lack of initial caring as well

Re: Internet Break-Up

I once got a break text message on my cell phone. But the biggest joke was that it was a wrong number! LOL

I decided not to do anything. So the bitch thought she sent the message, but in fact it was never received by the boyfriend. Served her right! I often wonder what happened.

Re: Internet Break-Up

even worse is hearing that your bf has broken up with you, by seeing his status change to "single" on his Facebook profile.

happened to my best friend. How impersonal and hurtful!!!
