More about the emotions that occured when you got together and less of the time. Were you still missing your ex? Still trying to replace the void of not being in a relationship? Or did you genuinely love the new girl "you picked up"?

I took me the the last six months before i became a geo-bachelor to get over my ex-wife. so by the time i met my then girlfriend i was already over my ex-wife. but my feelings for my then girlfriend were genuine. as they still are today. -JE

If you don't feel like you're settling for less than what you really wanted, then it's all good and you're doing better than lots of other guys!

I don't think any one but you yourself can answer this. All of us always know whether or not we are in a rebound relationship. Just ask yourself and be truthful about it.

Its more about how you feelb out your ex. It is not a time thing. Some people take years to get over someone - and sometimes they never really do!!

My test is when you don't really care (and are not jealous) when your ex dates someone, you are over her/him.

My 2c worth...

Re: How long can a rebound last for?

I saw my ex at a party last weekend. It was the first time I saw him in over 6 months. What amazed me is that the feelings are still there. After all this time. I'd love to get back together, but don't know how to go about patching up our old differences.

Also, I'm not sure if he is interested. At least he is still single!
