Prince Charming asks Cinderella, "Do I love you because you're beautiful, or are you beautiful because I love you?"

Think about this statement and tell me what you think. Do you find yourself finding someone more attractive/better looking after falling for them - or is it their looks and outward appearance that gets you to fall in love with them?

Personally, I find that while I might be attracted to someone physically first, they grow more attractive as I fall more in love with them.

Both of you guys make good points. It's really all depending upon the situation. I've dated girls who weren't always the hottest or the most gorgeous, but the more I get to know them the more beautiful they become. Sometimes, if they are already very beautiful, they become even more so.

I don't think love based on beauty last, that's really just lust and lust wares thin faster than love.

It would be a lie to say that looks do not matter at all. They do. But the thing to keep in mind is that looks are just one of the many important factors. For me, the guy has to be decent looking enough to get me interested to know him and then if I end up liking him, he'll be my prince charming

As others have already said, looks do matter, we all have our likes and dislikes, often subconscious. But when you fall in love, it goes far deeper than looks. I know many stories of two people meeting and not thinking much of each other look-wise, yet then something clicks - and suddenly this is the most beautiful person you've ever met.

Looks are the first thing that will get my attention. I know people there are people who will say looks don't matter but the reality is, it does matter. However, once I get to know the person, if I don't like what is on the inside, then the outside appearance doesn't matter much.
