Last night I heard my parents making love in the room a few feet away from me. I can't get it out of my mind. I tried turning up the music, but nothing could drown away the sound I was hearing...I can't get to sleep anymore, for some reason I am just totally freaked out. What should I do?

Just give it some time. It's a natural thing, but I can see why it would be so disturbing. It's luckily never happened to me.

That must be something difficult to deal with. I'd just try to think of other things if at all possible. Go see some friends, see a movie, get some fresh air. Pretty soon it'll dissolve away into nothing. I remember having a few embarassing moments that I couldn't get out of my head and couldn't sleep that night, thinking it would haunt me forever - now I can't even recall them.

When I hear or see something that really shocks me or I cant get it out of my head, all I do is wait it out. It usually wont bother me within a week or two. I'll think about it and just think to myself "eh who cares." Just wait it out. It'll get out of your head eventually.

Yeah you just have to give it time, and try to stop thinking about it so much. I know it's going to be hard, but you have to try. My friend walked in on his parents doing it once, and to get the picture out of his mind he watched four straight hours of porn. It seemed to work for him, maybe it will work for you

You should think of the good, your parents are still so much in love they are showing it. It is a touchy subject, but if you avoid thinking about it then you will probily forget soon. If it happens again, buy some headphones and listen to music that way, that's how I block out the world.

Weird to suddenly see your parents as sexual beings, but you wouldn't be here if they weren't! I wouldn't mention it to them, cause it'd be weird for them to be together if they realized you could hear them. Weird you never heard it before. Did you change something in your room or something?

Ignore it and just go to sleep. It's nothing to be freaked out about. At least you know they're having good sex.

Well they're still in love with each other so thats good. Other than that it is pretty weird to hear them or walk in on them

My friend Stephanie did it to her parents. What made it worse for her is the fact that her mom is a giggler. lol
