Does any one have christmas wars?

Does anyone have light wars with there neighbors?? My family does, my dad allways takes it to the extreme, but never spends over 20 $ on new lights a year... Maybe thats why he loses... Well ya, Do you have wars, Is there anything at stake?

Every Christmas my family, especially my dad, gets excited about having the coolest decorations in the neighborhood. But we're all lazy, and we're lucky to have the lights up before New Year's. Hey, right after Christmas those lights go on sale like you just won the light lottery.

Light wars don't really mean anything to me because we put our lights out only once and my dad had a lot of trouble doing that. Most of the time people would just buy someone to decorate their house with the lights and it doesn't really sit well with me that they aren't going to do their own work for decorating the outside of their house.

We usually have neighbors that try and beat us putting up our lights, which are the highlight of the neighborhood. But this year they cheated, and put them up before Thanksgiving.
