Summer Love

Summer Love

Before dies the dream of Summer love,
Let not thine heart turn from mine.
Hold me near unto thy breast.
Through our embrace, our love doth shine.

As August fades to Autumn,
So too our love may pale,
But weap not for time now gone;
Not one tear, not one wail.

Thou hath shone me how to feel;
To feel alive and feel free.
And though I must be on my way,
My heart remains with thee.

As travelers in the dark we met.
As lovers we must now part.
Forget not the joys we've shared,
And change not who thou art.

The time draws nie upon us,
The hour that I must go.
But hold me fast into thine arms,
and push back the impending woe.

As now I turn, a brand new man,
Back to my path I sway,
Remember always that I love you,
Forever and a day.
