My Brother Won't Stop

My brother will not stop just being the mean brother. He's younger, so it's pretty normal, but it really annoys me. I've been trying out the good old golden rule for the past few weeks but he just seems to take advantage of it. I let him borrow my sweatshirt one day and now he thinks it's his. I've tried being the bully brother too but my parents get involved at some point and he continues to act tough. How will I deal with this idiot?

He will probily get over it. I have heard lots of storys about siblings who hate eachother, then later they get over it and become best friends. Give it time and be open to being his friend and you should be alright.

If he is in his younger teenage years, then it's pretty normal. I went through the mean phase also when I was 13, and so is my sister right now. You could either show that you're an authorative figure by making the decisions and rules for him, or you could try to wait it out until he grows out of that phase. I would recommend you keep watch on what you say and do as you do not want to be taken advantage of.

yea from what it sounds like... it is very normal to have sibling rivalry. He will eventually grow out of it. For now I guess you just have to bare with it and hope for the best. Just act as you normally would and keep your authority.

That's brothers for you. I kinda like being an only child, haha. I'm sure he'll grow out of it, as other have said. Until then, maybe you can pick up some karate
