Friends With Benefits...Thoughts?

So I was wondering what the community's feel on Friends With Benefits (FWB) are. While this seemed to be most popular with young people (teenagers) it has had some increasing popularity with "older" folks. FWB is very similiar to NSA (No Strings Attached) - it is basically two friends, a guy and a girl, who make-out, kiss, have sex or perform oral withOUT having a relationship or exclusivity with the partner...

Some people can make it work. I personally don't think it can last forever. Eventually, someone is going to develop feelings for the other person and it's going to fall apart.

Any thoughts? Experiences? Share!

I think it can work untill one of the people gets into a real relationship. As long as both of the people are mature about it, it can work.

It could work if you get bored or something and just want to let out. If it's a constant thing, then it's probally a relationship.

I have a few FWB friends.

And it's working out perfectly fine. I have no more attraction to them other then a friend and a sexual partner.

I've even confided to them about my latest crushes. :P

It can work out, I don't disapproce of it either. I've seen a couple friends get involved like that. Though I'm never the one to do so.

I have to say I'm a little surprised that most of you were so ok with FWBs. I guess if you can find a way to make yourself totally emotionally detached and make sex a little meaningless (for those that believe it is "sacred/special") then it could work - but I have the tendency to believe that the act itself will naturally transition into romantic feelings.

Thats the thing for me, I get attached. And I can't use a girl I'm detached like that.
