Best way to break up with someone

I was just wondering how people felt about breaking up with someone, just because the few times I have it has been extremly akward. Although it was never any hatred afterward I was just wondering if anyone knew the "perfect" way to break up with someone, or just a way that worked well for you in the past.

Well there is no perfect way, unless both you mutually agree on it, in my opinion. Ot would be better to do it in person and not over a third-party. That is just the most retard way of doing so.

There's no real fure fire way to break up with someone, without breakthe other person's heart, unless its a total mutual thing, and you don't love each other anymore, romantically anyways.

the only way to do it is honestly. honestly break up with them, and asap. the longer you wait, the more hurt the other person will be. you have to do a clean break up. don't break up as friends. breaking up as friends only gives hope to the dumpee, to the extent that the dumpee thinks that there cold be an 'us' in the future.

and you can't just leave without saying something. you can't make assumptions.

I totally agree with you. Last thing anyone wants to do is kick it with the former significant other, and hear about the new person he or she is seeing. Dumpee should be polite and friendly, but not try to stay close to the dumper as "just friends." That gets real ugly, real fast.

yeah my recent breakup, she dumped me, but wanted to be friends, so we could rekindle.

well i told her that i need a total break up. i got it, but she tried to remain as friends, its not working out. her recent mood is to be mad, and bitter. in the end, she's gonna get disappointed.

Re: Best way to break up with someone

There is not much of a perfect break up. It takes two to do it right. If the person being rejected acts mature enough not to over act on it, break up is just fine.
