Post-Prom

I wasn't entirely sure where I should post this, but I guess here is as good as any.
My mom has known since I was about 16(I'm 18 now) that I'm sexually active, but I feel very uncomfortable asking her if I could go with my bf(he's 20) to stay at a hotel after prom until the next morning. (I know that's just like asking, "hey, can I go to some crappy, run-down building to screw my bf all morning?" but that's not the only idea in my mind. It'd make it a lot easier for us to comfortably have sex, yes, but I'd really just like to be able to spend time with him alone for a long while.) I'd have the car for prom, and she doesn't work until about 11 the next morning. She was sexually active as a teen, too, and bore a child from it. She's had 5 husbands, and I'm sure she understands, but I just don't know how to bring it up without it being too uncomfortable for either of us. Any suggestions?

You would definately need permission from her to go do something like that if you still live in her house (especially if the car belongs to her). You could suggest to her that you'll be with from friends and their dates too.

well you can lie to your parents, i did my fair share of..ahem...fibs...but if you have that bond and dont want to risk breaking a trust you have....i'd just casually bring it up....while she is in the middle of doing something....would have to be in a good mood and not very stressed at the time and just spit it out...hey mom, i was curious....would you have a problem with (boyfriend's name here) and me stying at the(hotel name here) after prom. bring up the good points if she's not goin for it like....you wouldnt have to worrie about getting trashed and going from party to party, or an underage....positive points to the situation....if u already had your prom....sorrie my $0.02 was late....oh and u could always just say i may not come home after prom....i dont know what we're doin yet....

Thanks for the help. Prom has already passed and I decided to simply have him spend the night in my room. It worked out just as well.

My brother and his fiance (even when she didn't move in) would sleep in the same bed. Mom didn't like it but she came to accept it.
