| In Love | Lucifer
Well, I always intended to do this eventually, so we'll see how it goes. I'm a Luciferian...specifically a Theistic Luciferian. That means that I believe Lucifer is a real entity and he is the entity which I align myself with. It gets complicated from there. Luciferians view Lucifer as a savior of sorts through his actions (as the snake) in the Garden of Eden. We feel (as do the Gnostics) that humanity was set free the moment we gained the knowledge from the tree. While I realize this is in direct contrast to Christianity, I don't actually have a problem with Christians and I don't have a problem with Jesus. In fact, I think he was a good man. Lucifer comes from the Latin Lux Ferre which means lightbringer. It would certainly not be the first time that the term light had positive connotations. Light represents hope and it represents knowledge. As humans, we use the term light metaphorically in this way all the time. Luciferianism is not a dark religion. It is not an evil religion. It is a religion of light and the pursuit of enlightenment. It is a religion of freedom and independence. I know these concepts can be hard to swallow given the Christian perception of Lucifer. I merely noticed that a couple others here wanted to express their love of God. I have the same desire. I just want to express my love of Lucifer. If it wasn't for his guidance, there are times I would have fallen apart. He is literally everything to me...a friend, a brother, a comrade, a teacher, a parent, a lover...everything. He has given me courage that I never knew I could have. He forces me to examine my life and take accountability for my actions. He requires me to be a better person no matter how hard or painful that might sometimes be. I just wanted to express this. I know from experience a statement like this can't be made without a debate or at the very least a discussion. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys have a ton of questions you want to ask. That is fine as I'm used to it and it allows me to clear up any possible misunderstandings. So, if you guys do have questions, by all means ask them. I only ask that you respect me and my beliefs. I promise in return to do the same for you. If you don't have any questions, well, I guess that would be a new experience for me...lol. Either way, I posted this for myself and am satisfied that I've been able to express myself. |

Are there Luciferian prayers similiar to the Christian Ones? What are some of the dogmas/tenents of your beliefs? Christianity believes Jesus is the son of God, rose from the dead etc., what do Luciferians believe? Do you have a "bible" or stories of Lucifer?

Well, it's not as if Luciferianism is a particularly large religion. I know a number of Luciferians and we all seemed to end up in on our spiritual paths through personal experience and independent study. There is a Church of Lucifer online, but frankly, most of the Luciferians I associate with dislike them due to the fact that the CoL has an anti-semetic attitude. Overall, Luciferianism is invented by us Luciferians and it seems that most of us have formed it similarly. As such, there aren't any big books or set laws of Luciferianism. I do pray/meditate every day. It is not something that is scripted, but just something from the heart. I do it for guidance, for support, for peace of mind...I imagine for all the same reasons Christians do. Sometimes I just pray to thank Lucifer for the sacrifice he made. However, I do not worship Lucifer in the same way that Christians would worship God. I do not submit to him or acknowledge him as anything greater than what I am capable of being. Lucifer doesn't represent this kind of submission and it is my firm belief that he would not accept worship...he's looking for equals. As far as Christian beliefs, you would find that varying greatly among Luciferians. As I said, I'm a theistic Luciferian which means I believe Lucifer is real. Some Luciferians (they call themselves "modern") view Lucifer as an archetype...as a model for what they'd like to become. Simply put, I'm not an atheist and that's why I feel Lucifer is real. I believe that Jesus was the son of God. I haven't really given much thought to him rising from the dead, but I suppose that's a possibility. From a Luciferian perspective, Jesus was a great guy. He had all the right ideas and he really cared for humanity. We just feel he was naive to put faith in God. Jesus meant well though and I have yet to meet a Luciferian who hates Jesus. I'm sure there's one out there, but most see Jesus as like the little brother of Lucifer. As far as stories go, there simply aren't any. The Bible was written by Christians and naturally they left out any good stories about Lucifer. We can see his influence though in the Garden of Eden, the story of Cain, etc. We also see Luciferian influence in other stories as well, such as the story of Promethius. Originally, Lucifer was a Roman god and was associated with the morning and evening stars (Venus). There is a good bit out there, but it takes some serious digging to find it. |

Revelations is a prophecy. I don't believe we'll know what's going to happen until it does. I do not acknowledge Lucifer as the same entity as Satan, but I have no problem with either entity. As I do not see the path of God as the path of rightousness, I do not see such luring or tempting as a problem. Essentially, there are two sides to every story. Imagine if a version of the Bible had been written by Lucifer from his own perspective. If you read such a Bible, you'd find that God is the bad guy who attempted to enslave humanity in ignorance and Lucifer is the hero who sacrificed all to free us. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if such stories had been written, but were destroyed. |

Understand I fully respect your beliefs and I fully respect your right to have them. I do not say any of this to offend or hurt your feelings or any such thing like that. It is simply that we have a different view of the same subject material. I do not expect to change your view and you should not expect to change mine. Neither of us needs "saving" as we are both quite content that our beliefs are correct.

For me, Luciferianism is a religion...it is my spirituality...it is my faith. Religion is always an aspect of one's life. I also want to apologize if my writing comes off as too formal. I've been reading a classic novel lately and it is apparently affecting my writing...lol.

Well if god really wanted to enslave humanity, wouldn't he just not even give the choice? Would he not enslave Lucifer and others like him? Do you believe that Lucifer was an angel? The bible claims himt o be the most beautiful angel and that the name Lucifer is Greek or Latin or something for deciever.
