My bf and I have been together for nearly 4 years now. We started having sex shortly after getting together and there has never been any problems, but for the past year and a half or so, when we have sex, it burns. The past few months it's been getting worse... to the point where I don't want to think about having sex, much less actually doing it. He always wears a condom and it happens just as soon as he gets in. I try to just grin and bear it, but most of the time it's too excruciating and I have to push him off and ball up on my bed. I know that a lot of people can get a burning sensation from nonoxynol-9, and since we usually do get the condoms with the spermicide, I've been getting the ones without it for the past month, but it hasn't helped at all. He's convinced it's a yeast infection, but I don't have any of the other symtoms, I just went to my gyn a few days ago for my annual and she said everything was fine, and I've never heard of yeast infections causing such horrible pain. Is it possible to develop an allergy to something? like latex? help! please? |

Having said that, they have been married for at least a couple of years now, and have a baby (that I believe was planned). | |

You could very well have an allergy to latex but like Danisy said there are alternatives to latex. Either way though you shouldnt be experiencing this pain and should talk to your doc/gyn about what it could be and what you can do to fix it. Good luck!

how about this ... "Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is the name of a condition in women where the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted and replaced by an overgrowth of certain bacteria. It is sometimes accompanied by discharge, odor, pain, itching, or burning."
