Weird and hurtful

I was with this guy a while ago. We weren't "together" but we were great friends and used to share stuff that we talked to no one else about. And he'd always give me subtle hints of "more than friends". The subtle hints then became more blatant and he said out one day that he thinks that relationships go better if the girl asks the guy out. I was totally crazy about him by then and I did the biggest mistake of "asking him out". All he said was-"I know". He knew I was hurt and he did nothing to make me feel any better. We were friends for a while and then I completely broke it off with him. Man, was that hurtful.

Re: Weird and hurtful

What a horrible way to abuse a friend and a friendship. I am so sorry that you had to go through that I could imagine it could be very very hurtful to have gone through it.

Wow, what a crappy way to do be.

I know this will sound like a cliche' but you are better off without him

Re: Weird and hurtful

Yes, I'm sure you are much better off without that jerk.

The best advice I ever got to deal with the hurt in a break up is to "cry it out". Be strong by all means but if you feel like crying, cry it all out and express all the sadness that you feel. Don't hide your pain inside, it will get to you in another way if you try.
