Does Religion Really Matter?

I'm so sad.

Last night my girlfriend said that she wants to break up with me. I am Catholic and she is not. She thinks that she will never be accepted by my family so may as well end it all now!!!

She loves me and I love her.

I tried talking her out of it but she wouldn't listen.

Can anyone please help me. What should I be telling her?

But I can report some good news: We are back together. Sarah decided that religion wasn't that important after all. It did take a bit of persuasion. Persistance does pay off

Some bad news to report. Last week we split up. This time it's for good.

Take it from me: religion does matter and can, and does, break relationships.

I don't think there is a "hard and fast" rule. It depends on the individuals. If one person is religious, then it WILL be an issue.

But there are plenty of cases where neither person is particularly religious, then I don't think it will be an issue at all.
